According to Reuters, Volvo announced on the 27th that it has signed a cooperation agreement with California to allow it to display electric vehicles and will sell electric trucks in North America in 2020.
The agreement requires Volvo to deploy eight pure electric demonstration trucks and 15 commercial and commercial vehicles in the South Coast Air Basin next year.
This year, Volvo began production of the first commercial pure electric truck, Volvo FL Electric, which is expected to be sold in Europe next year for urban distribution.
The company also said on the 27th that trucks sold in North America will use the same powertrain technology, but the spokesman said it is too early to say that the similarity of the two trucks is too early.
